Hardware & assembly

Two fans, magnetic filters and M3 assembly

An enclosure with solid sides, two slim 120 mm fans and removable magnetic filters: one on the roof and one in the closed lower intake chamber. The board rests on locating pillars and the case closes with four M3 screws and nuts, so the whole thing comes apart without tools beyond one hex key.

The default board mounts on a 105.25 × 112.5 mm rectangle with a 1 mm offset, 21 mm standoffs and Ø3.2 mm board holes. The interior is 136 × 140 mm with 2.4 mm walls, and the case reaches 117.7 mm including the feet, the lower chamber and the top filter. Fans are 120 mm across and 15 mm thick on 105 mm hole spacing.

Sixteen Ø5.2 × 1.7 mm magnets hold the 138 × 138 mm filter frames through retaining lips with closed backs, trapping 0.25 mm mesh in a 0.3 mm recess without rings or glue, and the lower filter clears the full foot diameter so it pulls straight down. Eight supplied self-tapping screws enter from outside and engage the fan frames only. The board dimensions are provisional, so check the fit template against the real board before closing the case.
